E-motion Series
My works explores how human emotion can be expressed through the form and subtle gesture of metal. I use the shimmering, sinuous, changing reactive form of school of fish as a metaphor for the human condition. My emotions flow while observing the movement of the fish. I capture this feeling like a dancer expresses emotion on a large stage through only a slight finger gesture. By exploring the properties of metal, I am able to vary form and line to embody this sentiment. The rhythmical line qualities represent freedom, tension and relaxation.
